MINA — Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosari visited the Unified Security Operations Center (911) in Makkah, where he was received by Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Faris, Commander of the National Center for Security Operations.

During his visit, Al-Dosari was briefed on the security and humanitarian services provided by the operations center to the pilgrims during the Hajj season 2023, so they can perform their rituals with ease and reassurance.

The minister of media also toured the operations center, where he listened to a detailed explanation about the latest technologies used in receiving reports and the mechanism of dealing with them through an advanced automated system.

The minister was briefed on the services provided to the pilgrims in many languages around the clock, the service of answering calls in record time, referring reports to the competent authorities for processing, and following them up until they are finalized with high accuracy and professionalism.

Such services are provided amid the presence of security and government agencies in one location to work as part of a single system according to the latest international practices.

Al-Dosari also visited the location in the operations center where press conferences of the Hajj security leaders and the daily Hajj press briefings are held.

The Unified Security Operations Center (911) is one of the most prominent projects the Ministry of Interior implements in cooperation with the Quality of Life Program, which is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

The operations centers run according to an integrated security communication system and record all data received through a network of cameras deployed in the holy sites and the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

Subsequently, the centers file their observations directly to the competent authorities for a rapid response and take precautionary measures to prevent the occurrence of crime or any negative phenomena that may affect the security and safety of the pilgrims. — SPA
