RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's main priority in the region and globally has always been to open the way for development and prosperity, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan stressed on Tuesday.

“This would be the main driver of our foreign and security policies, and that is my primary job as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he said in his remarks during the 13th Gulf Research Meeting organized by the Gulf Research Center at the University of Cambridge in the UK.

The Foreign Minister pointed out that the countries of the Gulf collaborate as a united force, leveraging their strategic position and significant capabilities, resources, and potential to serve as a bridge connecting the East with the West and the North with the South.

Concerning the regional situation, Prince Faisal said the Kingdom’s commitment was to support all efforts aimed at resolving the conflicts through peaceful means, enhancing security, and promoting trade relations within the region.

The minister also affirmed the constant keenness of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to strengthen Gulf integration and unity and to collectively tackle common challenges. — SPA
