RIYADH — Two workers were killed and two others injured, one of them seriously, when a building under construction was collapsed in the southern Najran region. The building belonged to the municipality of Habuna governorate.
Prince Jiluwi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, emir of Najran region, ordered the formation of a committee to investigate into the collapse of the roof of the building under construction and submit him the report.
Prince Jiluwi offered condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased, asking God Almighty to grant them patience and solace, and to grant a speedy recovery for the injured.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense stated that the injured were transferred to Habuna General Hospital to receive the necessary medical care and treatment. On his part, spokesman of the branch of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Najran region confirmed that its operations room had received an urgent information from the Civil Defense about the collapse of the building under construction in Habuna governorate. The spokesman said one body was recovered and search was underway to retrieve the body of the second worker who was trapped under the rubble.
