RIYADH — One hundred Saudi relief trucks have arrived in Yemen through the Al-Wadiah border crossing.
The trucks provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) are carrying 30,000 food baskets, in preparation to launch the project for the displaced and most needy families in Yemen for the year 2023.
The project aims to ensure equitable access to food for groups suffering from severe food insecurity, through distributing 26,544 food baskets periodically, every two months.
In addition to distributing quantities of food baskets in emergency situations in the governorates of Marib, Hadhramaut, Al Mahrah, Shabwah, Al Jouf, Al Hodeidah, Socotra, Hajjah and Sa'dah, with a total of 179,982 food baskets throughout the year, benefiting 36,237 families with 253,659 individuals.
This comes within the series of humanitarian and relief projects that Saudi Arabia is conducting through the KSrelief for the Yemeni people various governorates and regions without discrimination.
