The Saudi Hankook Racing team, led by Captain Saeed Al-Mouri, achieved third place in the second round of the 2023 season of Hill Climb Racing Championship organized by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation in Al-Baha, south of the Kingdom, with the participation of 55 competitors from various categories.
Saeed Al-Mouri participated in the race with a Radical SR3 car equipped with Hankook F200 tires. He continued to compete strongly until the end of the race, which was characterized by difficult terrains on the race track. The Saudi Hancock racing team has strong chances in competing for the top position at the end of the rounds of this series of races, which attracts great interest from racers from inside and outside the Kingdom.
On this occasion, Captain Saeed Al-Mouri explained that third place is considered good as it maintains the team's chances in the overall ranking, although the team ambition, as usual, is to be at the top of the round. However, he expressed his gratitude to all members of the team and the sponsoring company, Bin Shihon Group, the exclusive dealers of Hankook tires in Saudi Arabia. He also mentioned that this prime position will serve as motivation for him to achieve more in the upcoming rounds of the Saudi racing season.
He continued saying: "The competition was strong and challenging until the last moments of the race, as evidenced by the close gap in times between all participants. This high degree of competitiveness is attributed to the significant development witnessed by motorsports in the kingdom, in line with Vision 2030, which encourages the development of all sports, particularly car racing, for which a suitable environment has been provided. This has attracted major international championships to be held within our country."
However, Mr. Marwan bin Shihon, Vice Chairman of Bin Shihon Group, Hankook Tire dealers in the Kingdom, praised the remarkable results achieved by the Saudi Hankook Racing Team led by Captain Saeed Al-Mouri. He acknowledged the team's successive achievements, which reflect the immense efforts made to consistently be present on top of the podiums both locally and internationally.
Bin Shihon also expressed his best wishes for the team in the Kingdom Rally Championship, hoping that they will continue to confirm their superiority in this exciting and thrilling sport in all its aspects.
It is noteworthy that Hankook tires is the major supplier of tires to major global car manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen and Tesla, as well as being the Current Formula E tyre supplier.
