RIYADH — The Riyadh Municipality has announced the acceleration of work on developing roundabouts in the Saudi capital, to transform them into attractive urban facades.

This step comes within an integrated plan aimed to rehabilitate and develop Riyadh in a way that contributes to enhancing the aesthetic appearances in the city, increasing the vegetation area, and making it humanized sites.

The roundabouts of Riyadh are aesthetic facades that adorn the capital, especially during the celebrations days that turn the city into an artistic masterpiece that attracts residents and visitors, such as national occasions.

During these occasions, Saudi flags and banners are raised in the green squares that are shining with lights and surrounded by picturesque trees and flowers.

Riyadh city comprises a number of distinguished roundabouts, the most prominent of which are the Cairo Square, Rabat Square, Algeria Square, Damascus Square, Doha Square, and the Astronaut Square.

The Riyadh Municipality is working on developing these roundabouts, to keep pace with the urban renaissance witnessed by the capital and its municipalities.

Developing the roundabouts of Riyadh comes as an extension for the Riyadh Municipality's efforts and plans which are in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

The vision aims in improving the quality of life, reviving public spaces, enhancing aspects of humanization, in addition to contributing to increasing green spaces and making them more approachable and attractive to residents and visitors.
