RIYADH — Saudi Arabian football club Al-Shabab announced on Tuesday the signing of Moroccan national team captain Romain Saïss from Qatari club Al-Sadd.
In an official press release, Al-Shabab disclosed that the acquisition of the seasoned international defender has been finalized on a loan basis, effective until the end of the current season.
Saïss, 33 years old, boasts an extensive football career, primarily in the French leagues, before making his transition to English side Wolverhampton Wanderers and subsequently to Turkish outfit Besiktas, and finally, to Al-Sadd in Qatar.
With an impressive tally of 75 international caps for his home country, Saïss has been a key figure for the Moroccan national team, which reached the semifinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
