— Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Farhan engaged in a significant meeting with Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), on the sidelines of the 45th extended session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, hosted by Saudi Arabia,



At the heart of this encounter was the Kingdom's keen interest and aspiration to host the forthcoming UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development (MONDIACULT), scheduled for the year 2025.

Prince Badr, in welcoming UNESCO's Director-General to Riyadh, lauded UNESCO's dedicated efforts in the preservation and protection of global heritage. This meeting provided a platform to discuss Saudi Arabia's vision for MONDIACULT and its broader commitment to cultural preservation and sustainable development.

In addition to this key agenda item, the meeting delved into the various dimensions of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and UNESCO in their shared mission of preserving and safeguarding global heritage.

The minister reiterated the Kingdom's unwavering commitment to supporting the diverse projects and programs championed by UNESCO.
