RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Commerce Ministry said that consumers can check on the regularity and reliability of commercial offers by scanning the barcode appearing in the discount license.

All consumers can check barcodes with their mobile camera, which will show them all the data related to the discounts including the type and percentage of offers, their duration, in addition to information about the trader.

The ministry’s announcement coincided with the National Day sales to increase consumer awareness during the purchase of products, as these festive days would witness an abundance of promotions and offers.

The ministry confirmed that it will continue to carry out inspection tours to check on the the regularity and reliability of offers and monitor them in all regions of Saudi Arabia.

The ministry called on everyone to report any violations via the alagh Tijari app, or via the unified number.
