NEW YORK
— Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan has reiterated Saudi Arabia's unwavering commitment to standing alongside Muslim communities in safeguarding their Islamic identity and upholding their dignity.

Prince Faisal played a key role on Wednesday at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir meeting, held in conjunction with the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 78).

Highlighting the significance of the Jammu and Kashmir issue, the Saudi minister emphasized that it represents a critical challenge to the security and stability of the region. He cautioned against leaving the matter unresolved, as doing so could contribute to regional instability.

Prince Faisal underscored the Kingdom's continuous efforts to mediate between conflicting parties with the aim of de-escalation and the pursuit of a peaceful resolution in line with relevant international resolutions. These diplomatic endeavors stem from Saudi Arabia's enduring commitment to supporting Islamic communities.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi and Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Dawood.
