Asian Games: Saudi pole vaulter Hussain Al-Hizam secures Bronze medal

HANGZHOU — Saudi high jumper Hussain Al-Hizam clinched the bronze medal in the pole vault final at the 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou on Saturday.

Al-Hizam claimed the bronze after a successful jump, clearing a height of 5.65 meters in the final.

This accomplishment marks Saudi Arabia's second medal at the Asian Games, following Yousef Masrahi's gold in the men's 400-meter freestyle race.

Saudi Arabia boasts a strong contingent at the Asian Games, and Al-Hizam's bronze adds to the country's medal count.

The nation looks forward to further success in the remaining events of the Games, which conclude on Oct. 8.
