COX’S BAZAR — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) team has carried out an inspection tour for the Center’s housing units project established in Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

The inspection tour was led by the KSrelief’s Assistant General Supervisor for Planning and Development Dr. Aqeel Bin Jamaan Al-Ghamdi.

Dr. Al-Ghamdi said that KSrelief has implemented a shelter project to support Rohingya refugees, affected by the fire that broke out in the Cox’s Bazar camps, by building 410 housing units.

He indicated that 300 housing units have been handed over, while the remaining housing units will be handed over in the coming days.

It is noteworthy that as part of the shelter project for Rohingya refugees, KSrelief has handed over, in 2022, 500 housing units to the refugees in the Cox’s Bazar area, benefiting 590 families, 3,000 individuals.

The project comes out of Saudi Arabia’s concern, represented by KSrelief, for the conditions of Rohingya refugees and their host communities.

This is also an extension of the projects provided to them in the various health, food and shelter sectors.
