Saudi minister discusses strengthening cooperation in space field with S. Korean companies

RIYADH — Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha has met with a number of leaders of major South Korean companies operating in the fields of technology, space and innovation.

Al-Swaha have discussed during a meeting with Kang Goo-young, the CEO of Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd (KAI), which was accompanied by a high-level delegation representing leaders and officials of the relevant authorities, enhancing the capabilities of the Saudi space sector.

The two sides also discussed partnership in the field of advanced technologies, satellite development, systems integration and space services.

Moreover, the Saudi minister met with the leaders of the Korean Naver company, in order to expand the partnership in advanced technical solutions based on data and artificial intelligence.

This is in addition to enhancing innovative business model systems and services for emerging Saudi companies.

During his scheduled visit to South Korea, the minister visited Samsung, in addition to meeting with a number of investors of venture capital and investment funds.
