RIYADH — Saudi Arabia and Philippines discussed, during the Saudi-Philippines round-table meeting, ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
The round-table meeting, which was held on Friday in Riyadh, witnessed the presence of Philippines President's Bongbong Marcos and Saudi Arabia's Investment Minister Eng. Khalid Al-Falih.
The meeting, in addition, saw the attendance of a number of officials, major companies, and representatives of the private and governmental sectors from the two countries.
The meeting discussed the investment partnership aspects in the fields of energy, industry, Islamic financial services, and food security.
Strengthening cooperation in the labor sector, and benefiting from the skilled Filipino workforce in various sectors was also discussed.
Moreover, the meeting talked about investment opportunities and improving investment relations between the two countries.
This is in addition to enhancing efforts to develop the investment and economic ties between Saudi Arabia and Philippines, as well as developing qualitative investment, and enabling the private sector to benefit from the investment opportunities in both countries.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi-Philippines round-table meeting witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the private sector in the field of human resources.
The MoU aims to provide a professional workforce that meets the needs of the Saudi labor market through global partnerships with the largest companies specialized in the sector.
