RIYADH — Red Sea Global (RSG), the visionary developer behind regenerative tourism destinations like The Red Sea and Amaala, has introduced Thuwal Private Retreat.

This exclusive island destination, available for complete buy-out, is poised to open its doors to guests next year.

Nestled on a pristine 1.7-hectare sandy islet within a breathtaking coral archipelago along the Red Sea coast, Thuwal Private Retreat promises an intimate escape surrounded by natural beauty and discreet architecture, providing the epitome of luxury in absolute privacy.

The island resort features a spacious three-bedroom villa, three one-bedroom suites, a beach club, gym, and wellness center. The curated travel experience begins with guests arriving via a private jetty, welcomed by the guest experience team at a stunning welcome center.

John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, shared, “Thuwal Private Retreat has been created to allow guests the chance to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and instead reconnect with their closest companions.

“Our belief is that the sublime Red Sea coast, combined with tailored luxury experiences, will deliver a peerless escape for the most discerning travelers.”

This marks a new phase for Red Sea Global, with Thuwal Private Retreat positioned independently from The Red Sea and Amaala as a wholly RSG-owned brand, breaking from the involvement of third-party hospitality or hotel operators for the first time in RSG's history.

Pagano added: “This is a milestone for us personally. It is the latest project we can reveal since we announced our expanded portfolio of projects last year and it is significantly advanced in terms of delivery.

“It is also the first time we are creating a destination owned and operated end-to-end by the expert team here at Red Sea Global, from development and planning to accommodation and guest services.”

Aligned with RSG’s commitment to both people and the planet, Thuwal combines luxury with conscious sustainability. The resort’s executive chef will craft gourmet meals using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, engaging with local food producers and artisans to offer unique experiences.

RSG is actively hiring from the local community, seeking ambitious Saudis to join the luxury and private concierge hospitality industry.

From butler services to haute cuisine connoisseurs, the company is recruiting individuals to work alongside world-leading experts on a fast track to becoming tomorrow’s leaders.

Thuwal Private Retreat addresses the growing demand for ultra-private and hyper-customized experiences, with a 61 percent increase in inquiries for exclusive-use properties from luxury travelers, according to Black Tomato.

Guests can anticipate a sanctuary reconnecting them with nature and loved ones, with guest relation teams anticipating every need.

With vibrant coral reefs nearby, guests have the opportunity to snorkel amidst stunning marine wildlife or explore the nearby village of Thuwal and the city of Jeddah to immerse themselves in the best of Saudi culture and hospitality.

In a separate development, RSG recently disclosed its responsibility for refurbishment works at Al Wajh Airport (EJH).

The focus is on modernizing the airport to international standards, including upgrading the existing terminal and infrastructure, and constructing a new international terminal. This move is expected to enhance connectivity and job opportunities for the local community.
