October 25, 2023

In 1906, Mercedes-Benz had a futuristic dream introducing four models of “Mercedes-Electriques” in their pursuit to pioneer mass production of electric vehicles. A century passed and Mercedes-Benz is setting the course for an all-electric automotive future, aiming to go fully electric by the end of this decade, where market conditions allow This was the main driver behind introducing the new Mercedes-Benz EQE as the second all-electric modern model series following the EQS luxury sedan. The new sporty business sedan was introduced by Juffali Automotive Company in Saudi Arabia, which offers a comprehensive and progressive luxury futuristic experience, featuring a sporty purpose-design approach with all the characteristic elements of the Mercedes-Benz with EQ Technology.

Features & Characteristics

Seamless design is the key design factor of the new Mercedes-Benz EQE, as sensual purity is reflected generously on modeled surfaces, reduced joints, and seamless transitions. The overhangs and the front end are kept short, where the rear provides dynamic accent with a sharp rear spoiler. Flush with the outer edge of the body, the 19- to 21-inch wheels, together with a pronounced muscular shoulder section, give the Mercedes-Benz EQE an athletic character. In its outer dimensions, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is comparable to the CLS. Like the latter, it features a fixed rear window and a boot lid.

The first model to come onto the market is EQE 350+ with 215kW. This EQE model has an electric drivetrain (eATS) on the rear axle. The EQE offers a driving range of up to 654 kilometers, with a DC box with charging capacity of up to 170kW fitted for fast charging, providing a range of up to 250 kilometers. The vehicle is supported with “Mercedes me Charge” service, which is one the densest charging networks, with 700,000 charging points across the globe.

Interior Cabin & Technology

The interior dimensions have exceeded those of today’s E-Class quite significantly, in terms of shoulder room in the front or the interior length, as well as, higher seating position. With the latest MBUX generation, the entire instrument panel seamlessly fuses 2 screens into a single widescreen. These high-resolution screens merge seemingly seamlessly under the shared glass cover to provide a unique experience. This alone determines the aesthetics of the entire cockpit and interior. The MBUX, with adaptive software, allows more personalization, offering personalized suggestions for numerous infotainments, comfort, and vehicle functions.

Commenting on its arrival in the kingdom, Mr. Basim Wali, Marketing and Development Director in JACO, said: “A new era is taking place in the automotive industry, and JACO has a strong history of evolution to continue serving its clients. We are happy to introduce a new vehicle that resembles the new era of Mercedes-Benz electrification strategy, as the brand aims to go fully electric by the end of this decade, where market conditions allow.
