Saudia — not just a rebranding

Saudi Arabian Airlines, recently unveiled its rebranding, a restoration of their design to its original identity.

The logo, previously yellow and blue, now bears the Kingdom’s emblem of the palm tree in green.

Welcomed by the Kingdom, it is a reflection of the significance and attachment to the color, a symbol of our lands and our religion.

It was not only a change in the brand and identity of a commercial institution, but rather a consolidation of the values and principles of our green and glorious flag carrying the phrase, "There is no deity but God. Muhammad is the Messenger of God."

At the start of King Salman’s reign, the nation regained its love and pride in the color green as the nation’s emblem.

The country regained its passion for celebrating our National Day with great joy.

The nation regained its fondness for celebrating our Founding Day in honor and appreciation of our ancestors.

The community regained its respect for our heritage, culture, homeland, and our national anthem.

Children in schools excitably and readily interact with activities celebrating national occasions.

We have come to be attached to the color green, thus the change of Saudia’s logo was not merely a visual change, but a change of historical significance.
