RIYADH —Saudi Arabia has condemned and denounced any ground operations carried out by Israel that threaten the lives of Palestinian civilians and expose them to more dangers and inhumane conditions.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the Kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it has confirmed that Saudi Arabia is following up with great concern the Israeli military escalation in Gaza after the Israeli army ground operations in the Strip.

Saudi Arabia warns of the danger of continuing to commit these blatant and unjustified violations against the Palestinians in violation of international law, and the serious repercussions that these violations will have on the stability of the region and regional and international security peace.

In the statement, the Kingdom called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to immediately stop this military operation in accordance with the United Nations General Assembly resolution issued on Oct. 27, 2023.

The Kingdom's call came to save the lives of innocent people, to preserve infrastructure and vital interests, to respect international humanitarian law, and to enable humanitarian and relief organizations to deliver urgent and necessary humanitarian aid. to civilians in the Gaza Strip without obstacles.
