RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naif attended the annual graduation ceremony of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) in Riyadh on Monday. A total of 223 male and female students from the 41st batch of the university graduated this year.

Speaking on the occasion, Prince Abdul Aziz appreciated the keenness of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in supporting everything that contributes to consolidating and strengthening common Arab security, and their utmost keenness on the affairs of the university.

The minister drew attention to the efforts of the late Minister of Interior Prince Naif in supporting and sponsoring the agencies of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, including NAUSS, while noting that Prince Naif supervised the establishment and development of the university. “This enabled the university to carry out its duties so as to become today one of the most successful organizations for joint Arab action, and an academic body that contributes to building Arab capabilities and supporting decision-making through the studies and research it provides in the security fields.”

For his part, NAUSS President Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-Benyan praised the unlimited support it received from Saudi Arabia, which enabled it to carry out its role as an Arab entity concerned with building human capabilities and scientific research in the security fields. “The university is completing the final year of its strategic plan for 2023, during which it was able to achieve most of the goals of this plan. The university has greatly developed its educational and training services and research, and strengthened its relations with the Arab interior ministries in its capacity as the scientific body of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, and concluded close partnerships with prestigious universities and effective international organizations,” he said while pointing out that it will continue to improve and develop further through its new strategic plan for 2028.
