KAU women win 38 medals, grand prize at SIIF 2023

JEDDAH —
The women's team of Saudi Arabia's King Abdulaziz University (KAU) won 38 medals and a grand prize during their participation in the Seoul International Invention Exhibition in South Korea (SIIF 2023).

The team won awards and prizes in various categories. This is considered as an unprecedented achievement in the history of the university’s participation in the event.

The KAU team participated with 10 inventions in the 19th session of the Seoul International Invention Exhibition, which displayed more than 424 projects presented by inventors from 26 countries around the world.

The projects were judged by arbitrators specialized in various fields of innovations, and the results were announced by the international jury at the awards ceremony of SIIF 2023.

Acting President of King Abdulaziz University Dr. Hana bint Abdullah Al-Nuaim has congratulated the students who won the medals and awards, emphasizing that this unique national achievement is a result of continuous efforts by everyone.

She added that this is also considered as evidence of the scientific, research and innovative development at King Abdulaziz University.

The active participation of the university's representatives in international forums, and the continuation of achieving advanced ranks will contribute to enhancing KAU's position and reputation, whose scientific and research achievements now compete with major international universities, Dr. Al-Nuaim stated.
