RIYADH — The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, Indonesia, Nigeria, Palestine have been assigned to create immediate international pressure to stop the war on Gaza.

This was revealed on Saturday as part of a resolution issued by the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic Summit, delivered by Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan during the summit’s closing press conference.

The statement indicated that the assigning of the foreign minister of the Kingdom, considering that Saudi Arabia is the host country of the 32nd Arab and Islamic Summit, and the foreign ministers of the mentioned 7 countries, also includes any other countries interested to join the international pressure.

The statement indicated that the assignment also comprises both the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha and the Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

The final statement called for the aforementioned countries to begin immediate international action on behalf of all member states of the OIC and the Arab League to create an international pressure to stop the war on Gaza.

The assignment also calls for action by pressure to launch a serious and real political process to achieve lasting and comprehensive peace in the region in accordance with approved international references.
