RIYADH — The Saudi-African Summit in Riyadh witnessed an exhibition held on the sidelines of the summit on various services offered by Saudi Arabia to citizens, residents and pilgrims, as well as the efforts made by the Kingdom to protect the environment.

The exhibition, which was visited by a number of leaders and heads of delegations participating in the summit, included a brief explanation about the Saudi Ministry of Interior's "Absher" platform and its role in fulfilling the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The Absher booth highlighted the services that benefit the citizen, resident and visitor, as well as the public and private sector. The Absher platform provides more than 350 technical services, in addition to its contributions to developing AI technologies to improve the quality of life through a qualitative shift from e-government to smart government.

Furthermore, the exhibition shed light on the Makkah Route initiative, which comes within the Pilgrim Experience Program, one of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 programs.

The initiative aims to facilitate the completion of arrival procedures for pilgrims at embarkation points in their own countries through unified and dedicated e-paths and human cadres that save time and effort.

The exhibition also included an introduction to security and public services provided by the Unified Security Operations Center (911), in addition the mechanisms of receiving security calls and all emergency situations through an automated and advanced system.

Methods for dealing with the reports and contributing effectively to saving lives and property to enhance the quality of life were revealed.

Moreover, the exhibition highlighted the role played by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Special Forces for Environmental Security, in enforcing and protecting environmental regulations to enhance sustainability in areas of royal and natural reserves and parks in all regions of Saudi Arabia.
