RIYADH
— The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) foiled an attempt to smuggle 852,000 Captagon pills concealed in a vehicle entering the Kingdom through the Al-Haditha border crossing.

ZATCA discovered the contraband cleverly hidden inside the spare tire and fuel tank of the vehicle.

Reaffirming its commitment to tightening customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, ZATCA, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Drug Control (GDNC), remains steadfast against smuggling attempts to ensure the security and well-being of society.

ZATCA encouraged the public to actively participate in the fight against smuggling and the protection of society and the national economy. Individuals can report suspicious activities by contacting the authority's designated security reports number 1910, through email at 1910@zatca.gov.sa, or via the international number 00966114208417. The authority assured the utmost confidentiality for reports related to smuggling and violations of the Common Customs Law and offers a financial reward to informers if the information is proven correct.
