Saudi and French foreign ministers discuss need for urgent ceasefire in Gaza

RIYADH
— Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call on Friday from French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna.

The two ministers discussed the latest developments in the military escalation in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and enabling humanitarian organizations to deliver essential aid to Gaza.

They also discussed the importance of supporting political solutions to end the crisis in accordance with relevant international decisions and halting forced displacement of the Palestinians.

During the call, the ministers reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and explored ways to enhance them in various fields. They also discussed regional and international developments of mutual interest.
