LONDON — Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised Saudi Arabia's medical programs, carried out by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), that aimed at improving the health situation of patients and injured people around the world.
Ghebreyesus made the remarks during a meeting with the Advisor to the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, on the sidelines of the Global Food Security Summit held in London.
They discussed topics included in the Summit agenda, in addition to developments in health projects implemented jointly by WHO and Saudi Arabia.
Furthermore, they touched on the difficult humanitarian and health conditions in Gaza, as well as the importance of urgently allowing the entry of life-saving medicines and healthcare supplies to the enclace.
Ghebreyesus and Dr. Al Rabeeah also discussed the possibility of partnership between KSrelief and WHO.
