Saudi Arabia, Axiom Space forge partnership to boost national space capabilities

WASHINGTON
— The Saudi Space Agency has formalized a partnership with Axiom Space by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing national capabilities across diverse domains within the space sector.

The signing took place during an official visit of the Saudi Digital Economy, Space, and Innovation delegation to the United States of America. Heading the delegation was Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Agency, Engineer Abdullah Al-Swaha. The delegation also comprised Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi, CEO of the Saudi Space Agency, and several high-ranking officials from the agency.

As per the MoU terms, Axiom Space commits to providing numerous opportunities for Saudi student training and on-the-job staff development. Additionally, the agreement facilitates the exchange of knowledge, skills, and experiences in the realm of manned spaceflights. The collaboration encompasses various facets of enhancing national capabilities in the space sector and related fields.

Axiom Space will design and implement educational and training programs tailored to the needs of Saudi students, further solidifying the commitment outlined in the memorandum.

This collaboration is expected to bolster educational and professional avenues for Saudi students and employees, fostering deeper cooperation and mutual benefits between the Saudi Space Agency and Axiom Space.
