RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has expressed its condolences and sincere sympathy to China and its people over the victims of the earthquake that occurred in the Gansu Province, resulting in a number of casualties and injuries

In a statement published by Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry, it expressed the Kingdom's solidarity and stand with China's government and people for this painful tragedy.

Saudi Arabia has also expressed its sincere wishes for a speedy recovery for those injured.

It is noteworthy that a 6.2 magnitude quake hit Gansu province Monday night, injuring nearly 1,000 in the mountainous region.
