CAIRO Saudi Human Rights Commission (HRC) President Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri highlighted the human-centric focus of Saudi Vision 2030.

She emphasized this while addressing a press conference on the sidelines of the concluding session of the Arab Human Rights Committee at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo on Tuesday. Jaber Al-Marri, chairman of the Arab Human Rights Committee, also attended the press conference.

The 22nd session of the committee aimed to review the Kingdom’s initial periodic report on its endeavors to uphold human rights and freedom as delineated in the Arab Human Rights Charter. Dr. Hala underscored the Kingdom’s notable advancements and reforms spanning economic, social, cultural, entertainment, sports sectors, and fundamental rights, including justice. She emphasized the inseparability of human rights, asserting the impossibility of prioritizing one right or aspect over another.

On his part, Al-Marri lauded the Kingdom’s inaugural periodic report, acknowledging significant strides in the realm of human rights. He highlighted that this progress reflects the human rights-centered approach endorsed by the political leadership. “This approach, evident in multiple domains and phases, notably includes the adoption of Saudi Vision 2030 as a blueprint for fortifying the human rights framework in the Kingdom,” he pointed out.
