JEDDAH — Deputy Emir of the Makkah region Prince Saud bin Mishal chaired the meeting of the Executive Committee for the Removal of Slums in Jeddah at the emirate’s headquarters here on Sunday.

Several officials from the concerned departments and agencies also participated in the meeting. During the meeting, a number of topics on the agenda were discussed, and the necessary recommendations were made.

Prince Saud reviewed the work that was implemented to remove as many as 32 slums in Jeddah as part of the city’s redevelopment plan. It aimed to improve the quality of life, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, in addition to reducing the spread of negative phenomena at all levels.
