Saudi Arabia will host a special meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Riyadh this April.

During the 'Saudi Arabia: The Course Ahead' panel on Thursday, Saudi Economy and Planning Minister Faisal Al Ibrahim highlighted the event's focus on global collaborations, growth, and energy. He underscored Riyadh's emerging role as a hub for various sectors and as a center for global thought leadership.

WEF President Borge Brende emphasized the importance of global cooperation, especially in reviving economic growth and addressing the development needs of energy.

Scheduled for the 28th and 29th of April, the meeting marks the first special WEF meeting outside the traditional Davos forums since the onset of COVID-19. Brende expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for hosting the event.
