RIYADH — The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged the public to keep utmost vigil against occurrence of household accidents during the holy month of Ramadan.

It specially underlined the need to avoid accidents while using gas stoves, as well as fires due to failure to ease heavy loads of electricity during consumption, or the use of power supply connections that do not conform to the required specifications.

The directorate stressed the importance of enhancing awareness about the safety requirements at homes, as well as to take care of the safety of electrical and gas installations, and make available smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and gas leak detectors
