ISLAMABAD Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari conferred the ‘Hilal-i-Quaid-i-Azam’ medal on Sultan Al-Marshad, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).

The medal was awarded during Al-Marshad’s visit to Pakistan to sign two development loan agreements with Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs worth $101 million as part of the SFD’s development efforts to support and promote the clean energy sector in Pakistan.

This honor is in recognition of SFD’s efforts to promote vital sectors through financing development projects and programs in Pakistan. It also comes within the framework of the close development relations spanning over 48 years between the two sides.

During the visit, Al-Marshad also met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
