JEDDAH — The Saudi security authorities have seized 1,613,000 tablets of the narcotic amphetamine hidden in the cavities of an iron equipment inside a yard in the Jeddah governorate. Three Turkish nationals were arrested in connection with the handling of huge cache of drugs. They were transferred to the competent authorities after completing the preliminary legal procedures.

The security authorities urged Saudi citizens and expatriates to report about any suspicious activities related to drug smuggling or drug promotion, by calling over the phone numbers 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and the phone number 999 in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom.

They can also inform the General Directorate of Narcotics Control over the phone No.995 and via email 995@gdnc.gov.sa, the authorities said, adding that all reports will be treated in a confidential manner.
