RIYADH – Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al Ibrahim highlighted Saudi Arabia's pivotal role in addressing global economic, social, and humanitarian challenges.

Emphasizing the nation's commitment under the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, led by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, the minister outlined the Kingdom's efforts in becoming a central platform for vital international discussions.

During his opening remarks at the World Economic Forum (WEF) special meeting in Riyadh on Sunday, Al Ibrahim pointed to the critical global issues of cooperation, growth, and sustainable energy development, which formed the core themes of the meeting.

"We are convened at a crucial juncture where our collective focus on fostering international cooperation, stimulating growth, and advancing responsible energy consumption must be intensified," he stated.

The minister emphasized the importance of equitable economic opportunities and the necessity of a balanced approach to energy, advocating for renewable sources and fair access to ensure no nation is left behind.

"Investing in human capital and clean energy is essential for creating an inclusive global economy," Al Ibrahim added.

Reflecting on the broader implications of these discussions, he urged all participants to harness the meeting as a launch pad for sustained international collaboration and innovation in growth mechanisms that will benefit future generations globally.
