RIYADH — Funeral prayer was offered for Prince Badr bin Abdulmohsin after Asr prayer at the Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh on Sunday. His body was buried at Al-Oud Cemetery in Riyadh.
Those who attended the janaza prayer included Riyadh Emir Prince Faisal bin Bandar; Prince Muqrin; Prince Turki Al-Faisal; Prince Saud bin Abdulmohsin, Saudi ambassador to Portugal; Prince Mansour bin Miteb, minister of state and member of the Council of Ministers; Prince Sultan bin Salman, special advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman; Prince Abdulaziz bin Sattam, advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad, emir of the Hail Region; Prince Faisal bin Khalid, emir of the Northern Border Region; Prince Salman bin Sultan, emir of the Madinah region; Prince Khaled bin Badr bin Abdulmohsin; Prince Sultan bin Badr bin Abdulmohsin; Prince Saud bin Badr bin Abdulmohsin; and Prince Abdulmohsin bin Badr bin Abdulmohsin.
Several other princes, government officials, and a group of citizens also offered the prayer for Prince Badr bin Abdulmohsin, who died at the age of 75 in Paris on Saturday. Prince Badr, a renowned Saudi poet and national literacy icon, was a legendary figure who was very popular in the Gulf and Arab world. His death was mourned by several notable figures and celebrities across Saudi Arabia and the Arab world.
