PARIS — Pro-Palestinian protests continue across Europe, denouncing Israel's attacks on Gaza with significant gatherings in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Germany, Italy, France, and the Netherlands.

In Madrid, thousands marched, responding to calls from non-governmental organizations, criticizing Israel and its allies, the US and the European Union, under banners proclaiming, "This is not a war but genocide," and demanding urgent actions against Israel from the Spanish government and international community.

Similarly, in Lisbon, pro-Palestinian students at the University of Lisbon camped out on campus to express solidarity with Gaza. Athens saw hundreds rally, predominantly left-wing students and activists, advocating for an end to Israeli aggression and supporting the formation of an independent Palestinian state.

In Amsterdam, approximately 15,000 protesters gathered in Dam Square, condemning the Nakba and ongoing violence. The rally echoed sentiments against Dutch government policies perceived as supporting Israel, with calls for a ceasefire and an end to the genocide in Palestine.

Berlin's demonstration drew nearly 3,000 participants to Kreuzberg, loudly denouncing Germany’s arms supply to Israel and declaring it complicit in war crimes. Italian cities like Rome, Milan, and Turin saw thousands marching, with strong criticisms against the Italian government’s stance on Israel.

Paris witnessed a significant turnout at the Republic Square, where thousands voiced their support for Palestine, demanding a ceasefire and the lifting of blockades, aligning with global calls for peace and recognition of Palestinian rights amidst ongoing conflict. — Agencies
