RIO DE JANEIRO —
Saudi Justice Minister Walid Al-Samaani participated in the summit of Chief Justices of the Supreme and Constitutional Courts of the G20 nations held in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday. The summit aimed to foster dialogue on the experiences of these courts in areas concerning citizenship, environmental issues, and the integration of artificial intelligence.

The sessions focused on three themes: “Promoting Citizenship and Social Inclusion by the Judiciary,” “Digital Transformation and the Use of Technology for the Efficiency of Justice,” and “Climate Litigation and Sustainable Development.”

Participants engaged in discussions on the main challenges confronting the courts in G20 member states. They also explored the prospects, obstacles, and potential risks linked to the adoption of technological and AI tools within the justice system.

The gathering underscores the global commitment to advancing justice in the modern era and highlights Saudi Arabia’s active role in contributing to these international dialogues.
