NEW YORK —
Saudi Arabia, represented by Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, signed a diplomatic relations protocol with the Independent State of Samoa.

The ceremony took place at the Saudi delegation's headquarters at the UN in New York City, with Ambassador Al-Wasel deputizing for Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

This new diplomatic accord aligns with Saudi Arabia’s strategic goals to strengthen international relations and broaden cooperation with the UN member states. The Kingdom is dedicated to building effective partnerships and engaging in collective international efforts to advance sustainable development goals and bolster global peace and security.
