RIYADH —
Al Hilal achieved the Saudi Professional Football League title this season without suffering any defeats, a feat referred to as the "Golden League".

The Blues avoided defeat across all 34 matches played in the competition, winning 31 and drawing only three against Al Fayha, Damac, and Al Nassr, demonstrating a strong and notable presence throughout the entire season.

Al Hilal dominated all its matches and defeated every team in the league, which includes 17 teams representing various regions of Saudi Arabia, from the north to the south and from east to west.

In its historic season, Al Hilal continued to set records, most recently breaking the 100-goal barrier during the 34 games played in the league, achieving this milestone with a 2-1 victory over Al Wehda in the final round of the league.

Al Hilal's attackers scored a total of 101 goals, a unique figure that marks the first time this has been achieved in the history of the Saudi league. Another record set by the team this season was 24 consecutive wins.

The top scorers for Al Hilal in the league, which involved contributions from 16 players, were Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic with 28 goals, followed by Brazilian player Malcolm with 15 goals, Salem Al-Dawsari with 14 goals, Serbian Sergej Milinkovic-Savic with 11 goals, and the attackers Saleh Al-Shehri and Michael each scoring 5 goals.

This title marks the second "Golden League" in Al Hilal's illustrious history, which includes 19 league titles, making it the most successful Saudi team in terms of championships.

Al Hilal previously won the league without a defeat during the 2010-2011 season, a season with 14 teams where Al Hilal played 26 matches, winning 19 and drawing 7 without any losses.

Looking back at the history of the Saudi league, three teams have won the league title without a defeat: Al Ettifaq once, Al Shabab once, and Al Hilal twice.

Al Ettifaq was the first to achieve this in the 1982-1983 season when the league featured 10 teams, winning 10 matches and drawing 8. Following Al Hilal's undefeated season in 2010-2011, Al Shabab managed the same feat in the 2011-2012 season, playing 26 matches, winning 19 and drawing 7 without any defeats. This season, Al Hilal added a second undefeated league title to its achievements.
