RIYADH — Al Hilal boss Jorge Jesus was named the 2023-24 Roshn Saudi League Manager of the Season after leading the Riyadh club to an unbeaten campaign and a record-breaking title victory.
The Portuguese coach became the first in the competition's history to win the RSL Manager of the Month award five times consecutively, earning the accolades in October, November, December, February, and March, with a pause in January for international competitions.
A former manager at Benfica, Flamengo, and Fenerbahce, Jesus returned to Al Hilal in the summer of 2023, having previously coached the team during the 2018-19 season.
Under his guidance, Al Hilal won 31 games and drew three in their 34 league matches, surpassing the 100-goal mark for the season and finishing with a record 96 points, 14 points ahead of their closest rivals, Al Nassr.
This season's achievements also saw the team enter the Guinness World Records for the most consecutive wins in all competitions, breaking the previous record held by Welsh club The New Saints.
