MINA — Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif made an inspection tour of a number of new development projects at the Holy Sites on Monday.
During his tour, Prince Abdulaziz was briefed on the development projects that were implemented during this year to serve the pilgrims. These included the upgraded camps in the vast plains of Arafat, and the new areas for the overnight stay of pilgrims in Muzdalifah, in addition to the new pedestrian road in Mash’ar al-Haram, which includes paths for the elderly and pilgrims with disabilities. Environmentally friendly materials were used in its construction that support sustainability and contribute to reducing the temperatures along the pedestrian paths.
During the tour, the interior minister also inaugurated the Kidana Al-Wadi residential towers project in Mina, which was designed and implemented in accordance with the architectural identity of the Holy Sites, and includes towers featuring integrated services with the aim of enriching the pilgrims’ experience and improving the services provided to them.
During the tour, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud was accompanied by several ministers and high ranking civilian and military officials. They included Deputy Emir of Makkah and Deputy Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee Prince Saud bin Mishal, Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Minister of Transport and Logistics Eng. Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosary, Deputy Minister of Interior Dr. Nasser Al-Daoud, Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Affairs Lt. Gen. Saeed Al-Qahtani, Assistant Minister of Interior Dr. Hisham Al-Falih, and Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdel Fattah Mashat
