Minister Al-Rabiah: Hajj plans a great success

ARAFAT— Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah announced the success of the plans to facilitate the movement of pilgrims from Makkah to Mina and Arafat. Addressing a press conference at Arafat, he also revealed the success of the health plans at Arafat on Saturday.

Al-Rabia said that the total number of pilgrims for this year’s Hajj reached more than 1.8 pilgrims.

Meanwhile, the Hajj security forces reviewed their readiness by carrying out a number of security drills that demonstrated the level of ability and skills of the forces. The review also covered the most prominent mechanisms, armored vehicles, special vehicles, and security aviation.

Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami said the security forces have begun carrying out their assigned tasks for this year’s Hajj season in accordance with security and preventive plans based on a set of pillars that make early preparedness, and reflect the skill of planning and accuracy of carrying out their tasks
