Al-Sawaha meets with heads of Meta and Google

SEATTLE
— Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha met with the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, to explore ways to enhance cooperation with his company in the field of artificial intelligence and modern technologies to develop the Kingdom's digital capabilities and come up with innovative solutions to support developers and entrepreneurial companies.

During his ongoing tour to the United States, the minister also met with Alphabet and Google President and Chief Investment Officer Ruth Porat to discuss partnership and collaboration opportunities in artificial intelligence, data analytics and cloud computing.

Al-Sawaha also met with the President and Chief Operating Officer of Space X, Ms. Gwen Shotwell, to discuss a number of topics, including space connectivity, and the development of the space sector to serve humanity.

These meetings aim to enhance investment opportunities to develop the digital economy in Saudi Arabia, in addition to developing digital infrastructure and capabilities in a way that supports innovation and enhances Saudi Arabia’s position in the technical sector.
