AMMAN —
Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, the General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), announced on Saturday that Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and the Jordanian Hashemite Armed Forces (Arab Army), has conducted an airdrop of food aid to the Gaza Strip.

The operation aimed to circumvent the closure of border crossings by the Israeli occupation forces, which had previously blocked the entry of humanitarian aid to the affected population in Gaza.

Dr. Al Rabeeah stated that Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, provided Jordan with parachutes and specialized networks for airdrops, totaling 30 tonnes, to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The food supplies dropped are suitable for immediate consumption without the need for heating.

Dr. Al Rabeeah emphasized Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to humanitarian efforts in Gaza and its support for the Palestinian people, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Despite the challenges posed by closed land and sea crossings, he called for the opening of border crossings to facilitate the delivery of substantial humanitarian assistance to those in need.

The KSrelief Supervisor General noted that Saudi Arabia has launched a donation campaign, directed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, to support the vulnerable Palestinian population in Gaza. To date, the campaign has raised over $184 million. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has operated an air bridge consisting of 54 planes and a sea bridge consisting of eight ships, which are still in operation.

Dr. Al Rabeeah expressed his gratitude to the government of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, for their exceptional and high-quality humanitarian assistance, which supports international efforts and alleviates the suffering of the Palestinian people.
