HAIL — The Human Rights Commission (HRC) identified a driver who allegedly beat two children in his car.
The incident occurred in front of a government kindergarten in Hail and was recorded by another parent who was there at the time.
The parent uploaded the video to social networking sites in an attempt to identify the driver.
Dr. Mohammad Al-Saif, head of the HRC in Hail, said women members of the commission have visited the kindergarten and identified the two children and their mother. The driver is believed to transport other children to their schools.
The parents have denied any abuse took place, claiming the driver was merely trying to discipline the children.
Al-Saif said the incident has been referred to Hail Police. He said parents should be satisfied that drivers are competent and qualified before they entrust them with transporting their children to schools. Local residents have asked the HRC to reveal more information about the incident and to find proper solutions to such cases.
