BERLIN — A shooting incident in southwestern Germany, believed to stem from a domestic dispute on Sunday, resulted in three fatalities and two injuries within the same family, according to police.

The casualties included the suspected shooter, another man, and a woman, reported police spokesperson Ramona Döttling to the Associated Press (AP).

Authorities responded to the incident in the town of Albstadt, located midway between Stuttgart and Lake Constance, shortly after noon, Döttling stated.

"The shooting occurred within the same family," Döttling explained, noting that an investigation was ongoing with no motive established yet. The two injured women were airlifted to a hospital, she added. — Agencies
