King Hamad of Bahrain receives speaker of Saudi Shoura Council

— King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain received the Speaker of the Saudi Shoura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, at Al Safriya Palace.

King Hamad welcomed Dr. Al Al-Sheikh, who conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. They extended their well-wishes to the government and the people of Bahrain for further progress and prosperity.

King Hamad reciprocated the greetings and conveyed his sincere wishes for good health and wellness to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the continued prosperity and development of the Saudi people.

King Hamad praised the deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and the close cooperation and mutual coordination in various fields to fulfill their interests and the aspirations of the two countries.

He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in strengthening the ties between the two kingdoms while commending the role of the Shoura and Representative Councils in Bahrain and the Shoura Council in Saudi Arabia in bolstering relations and supporting development in both countries.

The king also welcomed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Bahraini Council of Representatives and the Saudi Shoura Council. This agreement aims to expand and strengthen cooperation, exchange expertise and experiences at the legislative and parliamentary levels, and coordinate positions in various regional and international parliamentary forums.

Dr. Al Al-Sheikh expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to King Hamad for his warm reception and hospitality. During the meeting, the distinguished historical relations between the two countries and topics of mutual interest were discussed.
