RIYADH — Minister of Health Fahd Al-Jalajel has announced that the regional health affairs directorates across the Kingdom are being transformed into branches of the Ministry of Health.

Al-Jalajel made the announcement on Thursday during the Ministry Leaders Forum in the Eastern Province. He noted that these branches will take on the ministry's organizational and supervisory roles in their respective regions and provinces.

This decision comes as part of the Ministry of Health's transformation, which involves separating organizational and supervisory roles from the roles of financing and providing health services.

This initiative began with the Cabinet's decision to establish the Health Holding Company and approve the organization of the National Health Insurance Center.

The first phase of this transformation, which involved launching health clusters in all regions of the Kingdom, was completed by the end of last year.

The second phase, which involves transitioning the health clusters to the Health Holding Company, began mid-year.

This transformation reflects the leadership's commitment to providing all resources necessary to enhance the quality of health services offered to beneficiaries.

It aims to improve the comprehensiveness, efficiency, and integration of healthcare services across the Kingdom.

The health transformation in the Kingdom represents a shift in the concept of healthcare through a modern healthcare model. This model focuses on promoting preventive healthcare, contributing to comprehensive healthcare, raising awareness, and facilitating access to healthcare for all citizens, ensuring a healthier nation.
