RIYADH — The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) reported that the impact of the global technical disruptions on national entities in Saudi Arabia has been minimal.

The disruptions were caused by a technical glitch in an update released by CrowdStrike early Friday morning.

The authority emphasized that, thanks to strong support from the leadership, proactive measures are in place to monitor and respond to cyber threats. These efforts include enhancing national capabilities and technical sovereignty.

The NCA's cybersecurity standards have bolstered the security and reliability of the Kingdom's cyberspace, protecting national entities and critical infrastructure.

Additionally, Matarat Holding company announced that operations have returned to normal at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, and Cluster 2 Airports. This follows earlier disruptions due to the global technical outage.

Travelers are advised to contact airlines for updates on their flights and to review the passenger rights charter approved by the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
