Government agencies' performance index in emerging technologies adoption improves by 10%

The performance index for government agencies in Emerging Technologies Adoption saw a notable improvement of 10% from the previous year, climbing from 60.35% in 2023 to 70.70% in 2024.

This increase is accompanied by a significant rise in the number of participating agencies, from 13 last year to 35 this year.

This data was highlighted in the annual report by the Digital Government Authority (DGA), which underscores the enhanced capacity of government agencies to embrace emerging technologies in 2024.

The report shows progress across various areas of technology adoption. Research capability reached 72.04%, communication capability hit 71.88%, integration achieved 67.93%, and proof capability recorded 70.84%, reflecting advanced levels of development.

Emergent technologies have led to significant advancements in several fields. Drones have greatly enhanced operational efficiency in aerial photography and real estate imaging, achieving an 80% increase and reducing time and effort. Augmented and virtual reality technologies have improved digital experiences for individuals with special needs, increasing their access to digital services.

The digital twinning of industrial cities has enabled accurate asset inventory for 22 out of 36 industrial cities. Additionally, Ameen - Digital Human now serves over 36,000 customers monthly.

The Anaam Shain app has facilitated secure management of livestock data, and firefighting robots have reduced physical losses by up to 50%.

The Kingdom's digital government is making significant strides by leveraging advanced technologies to enhance services for citizens, residents, and visitors, marking a crucial step in its transformation journey towards a digital future.
